OUR HISTORY
Our history as a bonified business started in 1997 when we offered services in the computer and technology space as an Independent Contractor (Sole Prop) to particularly households, schools and small business. The rapid growth experienced at the time compelled us to register, which we did in the year 2000 under the Business Registration as a Closed Corporation named COMPUTER ARENA CC registration no 2000/048732/23 for the ICT divisions, whilst the professional services still continued as a Sole Prop. Computer Arena and the Sole Proprietorship operated for a number of years until now as a stand-alone businesses, while we also focused on other interests, e.g. eCommerce and related colabarations.
Our next phase was consolidating all of the other interests and skillsets into a viable business venture. As a result, Arena Professional Services emerged as an overarching group for the consolidation of all of our business interests and ventures. Arena Professional Services officially started to operate in January 2019 as Sole Proprietorship. Over the years we added various complementary components, including emerging Computer Arena with all of its service and technology offerings as part of, we established Shopping Arena out of necessity to manage the emergence and inflows of eCommerce Platforms, with our own offerings, and our latest addition was the provision of Stationery as Arena Stationery Supplies to consolidate office and related requirements of which some was previously offered via Computer Arena. Having these separate brands assists with commodity focus and streamlining specifics for our clients.
Effective 13 April 2021, our Sole Propiotership which operated as Arena Professional Services and Computer Arena have now been fully registered as a private company with CIPC with registration number 2021/542813/07.
The same business, the same people, the same skillsets and offerings. Just our various incorporation transitions over the last 20+ years.
OUR STORY
Arena was founded by Joe February and primarily operates with him and other consultants as independent contractors from Cape Town. Having more than 35 years of experience in the fields of Business Development, Human Resources and ICT, lays a perfect foundation to consult in these fields to assist and support other businesses.
We are detail-oriented, result-driven professionals who specializes in offering business consulting services spanning a range of service areas. Joe started off his career like most employees, performing the tasks allocated to him. But, as time passed, he realized that he was working more and learning less. He also began to realize that, at any given point of time, there were more that converged upon tasks than one could see. He realized quickly that the key was to learn across the board, and that the services offered must converge various areas of expertise.
Most professionals leave full-time employment for more fulfilling consulting careers, this instance is no different.
The branding of our services includes Consulting Arena, Services Arena and our computer based company which have operated for many years as Computer Arena.
I have been engaging with consultants now for a number of years and have been adding more and more to my skill-set in terms of both capability and insight. With every project, therefore, I bring more on board and am able to reflect enhancements in my skills in all other projects at the same time. If you are looking for someone who can understand your business and offer guidance and materials that can help you enhance your existing bottom line, I guess I am the guy for you!
The group was established to offer the services of other seasoned and experienced professional implementers who are mostly independent consultants and contractors operating from Cape Town in the Western Cape. We will collaborate in ventures that broaden the available skill-sets of the Arena Professional Services group. Our services therefore makes available to you the client an array of knowledge and expertise over many tried and tested years of practise and review.
