Organisational Development is a key factor for a successful business.  To this end, we can assist with organisational structure reviews.  You may choose to include the development of the core business processes if they don’t exist, and if necessary the development of a target operating model aspect as part of a streamlining / efficiencies process review.  This would also include Job Evaluation Processes which is only offered on a project basis.

The application of Section 189 and Section 189(A) of the Labour Relations Act for all operational requirements could form part of your requirements for which we can offer advice and support should a review recommendation include any form of restructuring processes.

A review of policies and procedures is preceded by an organisation review in order to determine specific requirements.  We will provide a set of newly developed or revised HR Policies and Procedures together with supporting documents and templates.

We offer a compliance review service in that we conduct a Labour Legislation Compliance Audit.   This entails a complete review of Human Resources practices from a legislative perspective which encompasses the review of HR Policies and HR Procedure, Employment Contracts, amongst others.

We are able to assist with all employee relations processes as part of an outsourced function. This may include a review of the existing ER Practices, Disciplinary Procedure, Code of Conduct and relevant supporting templates.

We provide training workshops for Line Managers and Supervisors in the ER and provide ongoing support/advice. In addition, we are able to include Chairing of Disciplinary hearings and support/assist with preparations for CCMA proceedings.

We support employers with fulfilling the requirements of the EE Act provisions, including conducting an Analysis of the Employment Equity Policies, Practices, Procedures and work environment. 

Equal Pay reviews as mandatory in terms of the EEA.  Arena will review and make recommendations based on your organisations’ circumstances.

We can also on your behalf prepare the compilation and submission of annual Employment Equity reports and an EE Policy and Plan.

Arena’s Human Resources team will work with your executives and managers to constantly track, evaluate, and improve employee performance. We will provide HR support should any issues arise, and work with managers to develop performance improvement plans when necessary.

We can review and recommend a suitable Performance Appraisal System based on your needs.  As part of this process, we will design appropriate performance contracts for management and certain levels of staff linked to the Job-profiles.

We provide training workshops for Line Managers and Supervisors ineffective performance management.  This can include training and support for Line Management to manage Poor Work Performance / Incapacity Processes in accordance with relevant Labour Legislation.
